Chefkün almost ready for action!


It took four freaking months for me to get from the original prototype to this point. Four months and the game is still missing a crap ton of features, like most sounds, extra levels, and a story (a very, VERY small one)

But I can't complain. It's been fun, and I've been working only on my very limited spare time too, so not much has been lost. 

If everything goes well, I'm gonna be done with the game this week. I'll try to put as much time into it as possible. 

Some of the things I still need to work on are:

  • Missing sounds
  • Short story 
    • Boss
    • Text between levels
  • Fix some of the animations
    • FIreball
    • Cannon
    • Key
    • Stone
  • Add ScreenShakes 
  • Add Parallax Background (Maybe. Not sure about this one)
  • Add a Death counter
  • Add a better end screen. This is tied to the story
  • Add credits  for the art and the music

I also need to learn a better way to keep the levels in order. I didn't make them in the order they are in the game, but even with only 21 levels I had to use Notion (Cover image) to keep track of the levels and the order they have in the game (which level leads to which)

Also, the Godot intro screen doesn't work on the web, apparently. I need to fix it or change it.
